So I thought I'd create a blog where I can post my creative endeavors, in hopes of sharing my passions and maybe inspiring someone else out there to do the same.
I love to create. Doing anything and everything that's artistic inspires and energizes me!!
I've always loved drawing and painting, and have been crocheting for a few years. I play a little guitar as well. I just know the basic chords, for doing worship songs... stuff like that. Below is a painting I did recently:

Recently, I've been getting into sewing. I'd like to create a quilt. I know an older lady who creates these absolutely AMAZING quilts... she's the one who first truly inspired me in that area. My friend Kelli also inspires me. She is an excellent seamstress and recently taught me how to thread a sewing machine and do some basic hemming, etc.
I have also gotten into drawing manga lately, and I really like it. I'm perfecting it though... still not used to the overexpressiveness of the characters, but I like it!
Without God, there would be no art, as He is the ULTIMATE Creator... nothing we make is truly original, because all things have their beginning and inspiration in Him. So I create to the Glory of God and praise Him for his creation and for the ability to mirror Him in this way... by creating things! Creating brings me joy, and much in the same way, I know it brings God joy to see his Creation, a.k.a. you and me... especially when we walk in obedience and trust in Him!
On that note, I am also getting more into nature and spending time in the outdoors. It's really great to experience God's creation and realize how small we are in comparison, and just how mighty He is!
